Continuing the Conversation about Child Poverty in Washington State
Please join the Children's Alliance, Children's Home Society, Washington Kids Count, and Washington State Budget & Policy Center for Continuing the Conversation about Child Poverty in Washington State. Our agenda will include Representative Eric Pettigrew's briefing on the 2009 legislative session, a discussion with legislators about their 2009 priorities, an overview of the state fiscal climate, and a conversation with advocates about their policy priorities.

- From I-5: merge onto I-90 E. Take Rainier Ave S Exit 3. Turn right on Rainier Ave S./ WA-167. Turn left on S. Holgate St. Turn right onto 24th Ave S.
- From downtown: start out going southeast on Boren Ave S. Turn slight right onto Rainier Ave S. Turn left on S. Holgate St. Turn right onto 24th Ave S.
- Parking: Street parking near the 2100 building is limited. We suggest carpooling or taking the bus if you are able to do so.
- Come Prepared: To discuss anti poverty issues you and your organization are addressing and bring something in writing if you would like to share it.

In the long-term, the Children's Alliance, the Children's Home Society, Washington Kids Count, and the Washington State Budget & Policy Center are exploring ways to build resources and capacity for engaging in a strategic planning effort to address child poverty. As our plans for the future take shape, we will be in touch about ways in which you can participate in this effort.
