Healthy to Learn: State Requirements for Child Health Exams
This 2001 report to the Washington State Board of Health, prepared by the Human Services Policy Center, examined data from nineteen of twenty-three states that require health exams for children prior to or during entry to a K-12 education. The aim of this research was to inform the State Board of Health in its continuing dialogue on the possible implementation of health exam requirements or related pilot projects in the State of Washington.
